Just watched Porco Rosso and had my dad flip out upon the discovery that it was made in Japan. Good times.

Diane Duane's Young Wizards series! I know it's good, it was good when I read it as a youngster and it's been good every time I've re-read, but I had forgotten just HOW good. I love that a wizard has to be able to find the volume of a cylinder to cast a spell to go to the moon.

For some reason "Wizards at War" is chilling in the break room at my work. I'd read it except I know it was in a drawer in the main part of my work and that's a lab, so it's probably a biohazard. I love that series though, which makes /not/ reading it a challenge.

I am reading the most amazing book called Tell the Wolves I'm Home, by Carol Rifka Brunt. It's a coming-of-age story about a lonely, geeky girl mourning the loss of her artist uncle from AIDS, set in 1987. It's beautifully written and very moving.

I got my hands on GARGOYLES~ Season one and the first half of season two. Also Pacific Rim, and a new Ghibli film, From up on Poppy Hill.

Music-wise, I just got Lindsey Stirling's new CD too. I think my weekend of convalescence (my own fault) will be quite comfortable.
