Here's a post for all the writers in the community! Tell us, are you currently working on some fiction? Do you want to discuss a problem you're having, or a question you've asked yourself while writing? Additionally, feel free to get feedback on your story ideas, or to ask for people to look over your work. Use this space for anything that relates to writing, basically.

Alternatively, are you working on a project or blog? Are you involved with something cool? You can also use this space to self-promote

Found out yesterday that The Devilfish Review is going to publish one of my stories in the next edition!

They put out a call for submissions from non-male authors. So if you have any pieces looking for a home, check them out :D

I'm still sort of floundering on the campaign I'm writing. I've got the general idea of what I want to happen and how to get there but since I don't want the PCs to figure out immediately that they're essentially playing LotR, I'm trying to think of ways to make it different while keeping the same feel.

Things I've got as resources above and beyond The Hobbit and LotR:
Book of Lost Tales 1 or 2 (I can't remember and it's upstairs and I'm lazy)
The Silmarillion (which I've read at least twice, dork that I am)
An Atlas of Middle Earth

Any and all suggestions for things to get/read/etc would be helpful.

Also, does anybody know of a good free "prompt a day" type thing? My boyfriend is an artist and is looking for something to get him to draw/paint on a regular basis and I thought that a writing promp app would be good but he couldn't find any free ones. :/
